All dogs have unique personal fitness needs that deserve to be met. Sadly, obesity is the most common preventable disease in canines. This can be especially challenging in New York City where the work day is long, apartments are cramped, and outdoor space is limited.
There are many benefits to running with a dog, in addition to physical and mental health. Among them are increased motivation to exercise, a more enjoyable experience, heightened focus, and added safety. If you want to get more out of running, it makes a lot of sense to do so with a four-legged companion.
DogGo Dash Club is a marketplace community that connects dog owners with human "dashers" of all fitness levels. Pets get 1-on-1 attention far superior to a stroll around the block. Dashers get to exercise alongside a furry friend while monetizing their running routine. The result is a happier and healthier life for all.
In 2017, husband and wife Patrick and Danielle Robak started running with their dog "Denver". Hungarian vizslas are highly energetic and intelligent, with demanding exercise needs. They quickly realized that this morning chore actually had a very positive impact on their entire family's physical, emotional, and mental well-being. So, they decided to share this experience with other city dwellers. Founded in New York, DogGo Dash Club was built upon two common passions: healthy living and canine companionship.
- It is part of the DogGo mission to get involved with the community. We actively participate in local events and hold monthly fun runs around the city that are free to join, whether you’re a member or not. We encourage you to join us and stick around afterwards for refreshments.
- We also strive to engage with dog welfare organizations that share our core values. We look for partners with the dual focus of assisting both vulnerable people and pets. If you are interested in working with us, please reach out to discuss in more detail.
